Vitamin C also known as ascorbic acid is a vital nutrient for health found in fresh fruits and vegetables such as orange and orange juice, strawberries, red and green pepper, broccoli, brussels sprouts and it is also sold as dietary product which is used to prevent or treat scurvy. It's an essential nutrient necessary for the growth, development and repair of all body tissues.
Vitamin C is often referred to as healing vitamin because it has a very important role in wound healing by aiding the synthesis of collagen which is required for the normal structure and function of connective tissues such as skin, cartilage and bones.
