TYPES OF TEA

1. Black Tea: Black tea is made of fermented leaves. It undergoes some oxidation that change the colour of leaves from green to brown. 
It has highest level of caffeine content and form the basis for flavoured teas like chai, along with some instant teas. Its type is Pu-erh tea.

Benefits

• It improves mood and mental performance
• It improves the memory and learning ability 
• Black tea can inhibit cancer growth
• Antioxidants content have the ability to entrap free radicals and protect the body from damage.

Brand of Black Tea are Lipton Black tea, Top Tea etc.

2. Green Tea: It is produced from a fresh steam leaves which resulted to preservation of its green colour. It is well known for its medicinal properties. It has high content of catechins and vitamin C. 

Benefits

• It can be used to support therapy as well as cancer prevention
• It can prevent different types of cancer such as mouth, lung, gastrointestinal and mammary glands
• It can reduce oxidation stress and strengthening blood vessels
• It regulates carbohydrate metabolism and improve insulin sensitivity.

Brand of Green Tea: Lipton Green Tea, Bigelow Green Tea

3. White Tea: It is an unfermented tea obtain from young shoot of Camellia Sinesis. It is not really white in colour in fact, it is a very pale yellow type.

• It can be beneficial in treating brain, prostrate, cervical and bladder cancer
• It reduces chronic fatigue syndrome, endometriosis, and spinal muscular atrophy
• It helps in weight loss, reduce cholesterol and lower blood pressure.
• It is an immunity enhancer, it gives healthier skin, acne prevention and protect eyes.

Brand of White Tea: Lipton white tea, Uncle Les’s Tea (Organic white tea).

4. Oolong Tea: It is partially fermented tea. It composition is intermediate between green tea and black tea. It major constituents are caffeine, polyphenols and amino acids. It astringency is low and sweet in taste.

• It plays a significant role in reducing obesity
• It reduces cardiovascular diseases and control diabetes
