The CEO

The CEO – Chief Executive Officer

In a world of class, dexterity and intellectual prowess; in a world of beauty, chaos and power. In a space of reality where influence rules and all fight for recognition, the CEO wakes latest 4:30am every day. Not as though he slept tight all through the night, cos he couldn’t, being the CEO.

Another like him is the Robotic Admin Department, no rest at all, because rest is just like saying ‘Game over’. There is a lot to put in check the admin keeps saying … The admin is the life engine. The department must even serve the CEO well for effective performance of the overall system.

And so the made CEO, understanding well that there are many other organizations doing much greatly in their respective domain. Trying to place himself side by side with them communicates that there still remains for him, a lot of gaps to cover. How can we improve? How can I serve my team better? How can I improve the status of the team among her peers?

Awake at 4:30am, he runs a quick scan at the previous day and sees what areas still needs improvement. He has built the habits of success. Engaging meditation and thoughtfulness, he draws a plan for the day. Things may not eventually go as planned though, the driver may fail to arrive early, the security guards could flaw with carelessness, the car may suddenly break down in the middle of nowhere, my family may suddenly need my attention, some location rascals may suddenly come up with their folly, a system may be hit by some virus, the list goes on and on. However, planning he must do, cos as the CEO he has learnt that we draw plans for focus and if things don’t go well, at least we have something to change. In the plan is the blueprint of how the day should look.

8am till 12pm, the CEO is really at it. Moving from one department to the other, and ensuring there is order. At a point he met some intruders, how they got inside in the first instance he really couldn’t fathom, but with their look they must have disguised, and the security department couldn’t detect them at the entry point. He engage them in a conversation, “Good morning friends, I’ve seen you cross this region about three times today, which department do you belong?” They replied “Engineering sir! We got an alarm that one of the steam engines got faulty, and we aren’t so sure of which of the engines”. The CEO was confused, “Steam engine? In the cafeteria? We haven’t installed any of such here.” The CEO thought to himself.

He began to smell rat immediately, did a check-up on security, only to discover one of the entry point had been left unguarded. It took about three hours to find those intruders he had met earlier, they had taken cover immediately after the earlier discussion. Their mission was to invade the admin department and alter the course of the department. Thorough search was made, they were discovered and dealt with, and they were terminated immediately.

Everyone commends the CEO for his attention to details; this has really given the organization an edge in meeting up with the standards expected of them. 2pm downwards, the CEO engages thorough reading and checks into recent happenings while he also carves out part of his time to attend to many other things.

The CEO goes on and on this way, with one thing or the other to attend to daily. By 8pm, he is back at home; he also has his family to attend to. As much as he desire success in his chosen field, he understands that his immediate family have a lot to contribute to his success equation. But the challenge is this, the welfare department doesn’t attend to the CEO well, they don’t take his feeding well, they only cater for themselves. They feel the CEO is the head; he can always cater for himself. Years have gone by, and now the CEO is dying, no one can replace him. And the entire team is losing it.

The CEO here is our BRAIN, the organization he works for is our BODY. The admin department is our HEART and the entire circulatory system, the intruders are GERMS, the viruses and bacteria that invade our body system. His family comprises the SPINAL CORD, and the NERVES connected to it. The security arm is the composition of WHITE BLOOD CELLS, PLASMA and PLATELETS. The welfare department is your MOUTH and Digestive System. Always eating sweets, fries and burgers, that way we are killing our BRAIN.

Who will save THE CEO?
