Facts About Cucumber Water

Cucumber water may not initially sound like a kind of thing you want to serve guests, but do you know it is possibly the most refreshing drink and it is natural.

Cucumbers contain Vitamin C and Caffeic acid, two antioxidant nutrients that can help protect the skin from sun damage. 
The idea of cucumber water used in spas alone needs to be discarded because nowadays people enjoy having this healthy refreshing drink at home. It is very easy to make so why not give it a try. During one of my research on lighten of the underarm, as per a lady that I am, I want a fresh and bright underarm, I learnt that cucumber water could lighten the underarm, although I haven't achieved much on that as I'm still trying it out. 

Below are some of the benefits of cucumber water;

1. Hydration
Staying hydrated is vital for overall health, always remember that.
If you're a type that does not enjoy taking as much water daily then this piece is for you. Adding cucumber water gives water some extra flavour, encouraging you to drink more and remember that your body can't function properly without water. Always stay hydrated.

2. Blood Pressure
Cucumber is an excellent source of potassium, making cucumber water a good way to add more potassium to the body, create a better sodium potassium balance, and, potentially lower blood pressure.

3. Healthy Skin
It is no new thing that ladies especially loves their skin to glow. Generally, proper hydration can help the body to flush out toxins and keep the skin healthy. Cucumbers are also rich in vitamin B, which can help with acne and other skin problem.

4. Helps With Weight Loss 
If you're trying to lose weight, replacing sugary sodas, sports, drinks and juices with cucumber water can help you cut some serious calories from your diet. 

5. Boosts Bone Health
Cucumbers are high in Vitamin K. In fact one cup of sliced cucumber has about 19% of the recommended daily value. Your body needs Vitamin K to help form proteins that are needed to have healthy bones and tissues as well as to make your blood clot properly.
