Healthy Diet; A Necessity For Survival


 

Healthy Diet is  a diet that contains the nutrients that are needed for regulation of body processes and maintenance of life. 

Healthy Diet provides the body with essential nutrients, adequate calories, macro and micro nutrients. To survive,  we need quality meals that will supply us the nutrients that are needed to maintain & carry out  life processes thus ensuring survival. For instance, protein which is one of the nutrients found in food helps to repair worn out tissue, Minerals and Vitamins helps in  regulating body processes.

Let's look at some of the benefits of a healthy diet; 


1.  Healthy Diet helps to maintain our health as high consumption of unhealthy foods will have negative effect on our health.


2. Healthy Diet helps to boost immune system, since the nutrients needed by the body are available. It will help protect against illness and disease.


3. Healthy diet helps to reduce the risk of malnutrition, both undernutrition and over nutrition. Since the nutrients needed are in correct /adequate proportion.


To survive healthily ;

* Eat healthy diet

*Eat more nutritious food 

*Lower your intake of carbonated drinks 

*Eat fruits and vegetables regularly 

*Substitute snacks for healthy foods. There are increase in death rate, which is as a result of high consumption of unhealthy foods because a healthy diet would have given a chance of survival due to a strong immune system.


 Healthy Diet remains an important part of maintaining our health there by ensuring survival, so eat healthy!
