Hunger

*HUNGER*
Good day friends, trust you are enjoying a day full of pleasantness? Just ensure that you carry a positive mindset and attitude all through the day. No matter what challenges you might face, just stay positive. ðŸ˜Š
The subject we are considering today is a bit funny one. But we all know it is never funny when you are experiencing it. Hunger has a way of making people see a hidden version of you.
We all know young children between the ages 6 12 years, boys especially, they are naturally restless. Imagine a home having 5 children of that age range, and then they are all boys. #Grin. The home is gonna be rocking ðŸ’¥ðŸ’¥ðŸ’« day and night, sure you understand? #winks😉
But if we have a case where all of the children are home, no mature person with them, and then they are just sited so quietly, counting the number of tiles on the ground. Something must have gotten their password. HUNGER! ðŸ˜†
I’ve noticed that it’s an awkward moment trying to assign duty to an hungry teenager. He/she can just become so unpredictable. And even our fathers aren’t exempted too, I mean African fathers. When Papa is hungry, everyone’s berra be ðŸ‘€ watchful. You’d see the kids walking in slow motion, momma can’t afford to be careless at that time, the entire home will be in another world until food is ready at the table.
If I have a reader here that doesn’t feel hungry, please let us know in the comment box . I’m interested in knowing you. You must be from another planet. Really! ðŸ˜‚😂
According to Merriam Webstar, hunger is a craving or urgent need for food or a specific nutrient. It is an uneasy sensation occasioned by the lack of food.
As uneasy as hunger is, the truth still presents to us, the scenario of men, women and young children who live a life of hunger. This is one of the major problems in our world.
1. Some 795 million people in the world do not have enough food to lead a healthy active life. That’s about one in nine people on earth.
2. Poor nutrition causes nearly half (45%) of deaths in children under five – 3.1 million children each year.
3. 66 million primary school-age children attend classes hungry across the developing world, with 23 million in Africa alone.
I just want to push this to the purposeful minds among us. There is still a lot we can do to help the dying world. Let’s keep tasking our brains to keep creating solution, be it on the small or large scale.
I’m doing mine already, hoping to do very much more. But I still hope someone catches the vision. We may not be able to stop it, but we surely can reduce it.
Thanks for reading!
