Antioxidants |
I’d advise we get our antioxidants from food and be careful with antioxidant supplements. The best way to get antioxidants is from food. Supplements often have higher amounts than you need and may be harmful.
-Vitamin C is found in guava, peppers, kiwifruits, strawberries, citrus fruits, papaya, Brussels sprouts, broccoli leafy vegetables, tomatoes & potatoes
-Vitamin E is found in almonds, vegetable oils, sunflower seeds, peanuts, sweet potato and avocado
-Selenium is a mineral that is found in Brazil nuts, fish, shell fish, meat, poultry, grains, beans and eggs
-Carotenoids are found in tomatoes,carrot,sweet potato, spinach, guava, watermelon. A commonly known carotenoid is beta-carotene.
-Flavanoids are found in berries, cherries, red grapes, onions, apples, cocoa, tea
